All is now set for the hosting of the August 2019 Edition of the CIAPS Public Lecture. The theme of this month’s lecture is “Schizophrenia & Society”. The keynote speaker will be CIAPS Faculty member, Adegoke Adedayo, a researcher in Psychology and Management.
The event slated for Saturday, 31st August, will start at 10 am but will have its red carpet open at 9.30 am.
Commenting on the CIAPS Public Lecture series, CIAPS Centre Director Anthony Kila noted that the event is “part of our effort to understand and help to improve the world we live in” he also noted that “a lecture like this one is an opportunity to engage with and also educate the general public and professionals on issues relating to their world”.
In giving reasons for the choice of the topic for this month’s CIAPS Public Lecture, the keynote speaker at the event, Adegoke Adedayo explained that “depression and suicide rates are on the increase in the society (family, school, and workplace), that is why I am very much interested in speaking on it”.
Also speaking at the event will be Nurudeen Azeez, an educationist and a CIAPS education graduate currently teaching in Lagos.
This CIAPS Public Lecture will take place at CIAPS on Saturday, 31st August 2019
The event starts at 10 am (with red carpet opening at 9:30 am) at 3 Adekunle Fajuyi Crescent, Off Adeniyi Jones Avenue (come in through Olutoye Crescent), Ikeja, Lagos
