Special Edition on Inaugural Lectures in Commonwealth Countries
The Commonwealth Institute of Advanced and Professional Studies (CIAPS) invites submissions for a special edition of the CIAPS Journal dedicated to Inaugural Lectures delivered by distinguished scholars and professionals across Commonwealth nations.
Inaugural lectures are important milestones in the academic and professional journeys of leaders in knowledge, reflecting their scholarly paths, societal contributions, and visions for their field’s future. This CIAPS Journal edition aims to recognise this tradition and share these contributions across the Commonwealth and beyond.
Scope and Themes
We welcome original papers, reviews, and reflections that explore (but are not limited to):
- Aviation, Transport & Infrastructure Policy
- Business, Entrepreneurship, and Finance
- Education, Learning & Institutional Development
- Elections, Democracy & Civic Culture
- Environment and Urban Planning
- Governance & Public Policy
- Humanities

- International Political Economy & Development
- Leadership, Strategy & Organisational Management
- Media, Journalism & Communications
Submission Guidelines
- Manuscript Length: 3,000 – 10,000 words (excluding references)
- Referencing Style: APA 7th Edition
- Format: Word document, double-spaced, Times New Roman 12 pt
- Submissions must be original and could be under consideration elsewhere
- Each manuscript must include:
- Title page with author’s full name, affiliation, and contact details
- Abstract (150–250 words)
- 4–6 keywords

The Journal will be peer-reviewed and will publish:
