Minority Africa is searching for a Marketing Officer to join our team.
As our Marketing Officer, you will be in charge of managing various marketing campaigns and plans for enhancing the organization’s brand. The primary focus would be on digital marketing. You will be working across various departments from editorial, fellowship, and advance under the supervision of the Marketing Manager.
This entry-level position is for 12 months and is subject to renewal based on performance and further work requirements. It is a proactive position and you would be working remotely.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Contribute to the implementation of marketing strategies.
Support the marketing manager in overseeing the department’s operations.
Organize and attend marketing activities or events to raise brand awareness.
Plan advertising and promotional campaigns for products or services on a variety of media (social, print, etc.)
Liaise with stakeholders and vendors to promote the success of activities and enhance the company’s presence.
See all ventures through to completion and evaluate their success using various metrics.
Prepare content for the publication of marketing material and oversee distribution.
Conduct market research to identify opportunities for promotion and growth.
Collaborate with managers in preparing budgets and monitoring expenses.
Attend regular meetings with the editorial, fellowship, and growth team.
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong marketing and interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid knowledge of marketing techniques and principles.
- Proactive individual with the ability to work with little supervision.
- Good time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and on changing priorities.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving ability.
- An undergraduate degree in marketing, or any relevant field with tangible experience in marketing events/organizations/products/services.
Remuneration
Salary: $350 /month
