Call for Papers: Reporting Aviation and Airports

The Commonwealth Institute of Advanced and Professional Studies (CIAPS) invites you to submit essays from the workshop titled “Reporting Aviation and Airports.”

This event seeks to explore the crucial role of media and journalism in the aviation and airport sectors, focusing on effective storytelling, accurate reporting, and professional ethics in covering this dynamic industry.

Best Papers will win CIAPS Prizes in cash and other benefits.

Objectives of the Call

We aim to bring together journalists, media professionals, academics, and industry stakeholders to discuss and enhance our understanding of aviation reporting.

Themes and Topics

We welcome papers on, but not limited to, the following topics:

  1. Airport Operations and Management: Understanding Stakeholders and Responsibilities
  2. Aviation Incident Reporting: Sensationalism and Sensibilities
  3. Legal Perspectives in Aviation Reporting
  4. Media and Airport Partnerships

Submissions Guidelines

You can submit your essay on all or any of the four topics.
Your essay must be 2000 to 3000 words per topic.
Your submission should be a Word MS document, uploaded using the link below, and titled “Reporting Aviation and Airports Paper Submission.

Submission Deadline

The deadline for submission is 6th December 2024.
