This programme has been conceived as a doctorate programme that recognises that your years of practice as a professional have given you real world industry experience and has made you an expert in your of area of practice.
The Commonwealth Professional Doctorate Programme in Policy and Management is designed for experienced professionals who are looking to advance their careers in policy analysis, development, and management. Through a combination of rigorous academic study and practical application, participants will develop the knowledge, skills, and expertise needed to address complex policy challenges and lead organisational change.
Structure and Delivery
The Commonwealth Professional Doctorate Programme in Policy and Management consists of a series of taught modules, research seminars, fieldwork, workshops and conference around the world and a doctoral thesis. Participants will also have the opportunity to visit various commonwealth countries to undertake a professional exchange programmes, placement and consultancy projects.
Classes are delivered through a combination of lectures, seminars, workshops, and online learning activities. Participants will also have access to a range of online resources and support services.
Attendance and Duration
The programme relies heavily on the experience participants bring from their work life and theoretical insights of faculty for a journey that typically lasts 36 to 48 Months during which participants can continue working and earning while studying.

There is a £40,000 CIAPS Merit Scholarship part tuition fund available to twenty students (20) students, each student can get up to £2,000. This Scholarship is open to Commonwealth citizens only.
Registration fee is
Successful applicants to this programme must have at least 5 of the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Masters Degree
- 15 Years work experience
- 5 Years management level experience
- 5 Published Work
- English Language Proficiency
- 1 degree in English language
- Reference Letter from a CEO or PhD Holder
*Applicants are highly advised to have access to a laptop or equivalent
