Preeti Dhillon has travelled to over thirty countries on six continents.

She graduated with a bachelor’s in History and Politics from the University of Oxford.

She completed a joint master’s in International Development and Public Policy as an Erasmus Mundus scholar at the ISS in the Netherlands, and IBEI in Spain.

Her master’s dissertation was on the convergence of factors that led to the creation of South Sudan.

Her interest in public policy and development have led her to work at HM Treasury: UK government’s economic and finance ministry in charge of maintaining control over public spending, setting the direction of the UK’s economic policy and working to achieve strong and sustainable economic growth.

She was an educational programme intern at the US Navy Museum in Washington DC.

She has also worked with educational charities in the UK, and with various state and non-state organisations in the USA, Ecuador, India and Kenya.

Preeti’s main topics of interest include: migration policy, ethics in global economics, the politics of East Africa, and education rights and access.
