Cristiano D’Orsi is a member of the American Society of International Law. His main competencies include Public International Law, International Economics, and Diplomatic History.

He started his academic career as an Assistant Professor of Italian and Comparative Law at the Faculty of Political Sciences at the University of Perugia and then went on to become coordinator and lecturer in charge of the Refugee Law courses in the framework of the Human /Med program at the International Institute of Humanitarian Law in Sanremo. He has also collaborated at the Centre for Education and Research in Humanitarian Action in Geneva (CERHA), giving lectures on Refugee and Migration Law and worked as a research fellow of International Law and Migration Law at the University of Virginia School Of Law.

He is currently working on international development and African diplomacy.
