Saying YES to the CIAPS experience was one of the best decisions I took in 2017 after my resignation from Kings College. I have seen a lot of self-improvement and transformations already. Just like yesterday, I embarked on the journey to better myself and I must say that attending CIAPS validated my vision of transferring knowledge and skills through teaching or better still, tutoring. The Learning environment is amazingly serene making learning easy and assimilation faster. The course content is relevant and tailored to suit the 21st-century aspirations for inspiring lessons with tutees.

The lecturers in my estimation are beyond world-class and are classic examples of what teachers should be. They definitely understood the expectations of the students and inspired them to achieve more. Overall, my time at CIAPS was worth it because it changed my perception of how teaching should be (only Nigerian students in Nigeria would understand this). I landed my first real job as a business development manager during one of the events at CIAPS, just before I concluded my professional certificate course in business development. CIAPS operates a training model and curriculum that is unique and outstanding which you will hardly find elsewhere.

My personal experience at CIAPS has been an amazing one; I would love to relive it again and again. During my training programme that lasted for a few months, I acquired relevant knowledge, skills and attitude covering a number of competency areas including tutoring, organizing, communication and management.

The learning environment is an enabling and serene one that provides a multimedia platform for assimilating information. I also received a lot of career guidance which has enabled me to run a training outfit for schools and colleges. Today, I am a better writer and speaker, thanks to CIAPS.

Though all my classes were held virtually the sessions were engaging and interactive. Learning was similarly interesting.

I understudied a banking and Finance certificate course. Through the well-planned program, I was exposed to some topics like laws and regulations in finance, customer relations etc. Through these topics (and professional advice from my tutor) I have seen myself soaring in my career as a banker.

Some skills I have built on through the course are managerial and customer service related. These have been instrumental to some successes I have recorded in my career. One of the topics is emotional intelligence, a quality a customer relations officer should possess to be able to understand and manage his or her emotions and those of others and handle interpersonal relationships empathetically. This has helped me a lot.

To me, CIAPS is a great place to acquire knowledge, develop oneself and enhance one’s career and I won’t hesitate to recommend it to people poised in gaining knowledge.

My experience at CIAPS has been a wonderful one. Before I registered at CIAPS for Business Administration, there was a vacuum of how to run a successful business. I was a bit sceptical that the centre could actually fill the vacuum. I was not disappointed by the time I finished the training. To be candid, my view about the business environment changed completely.

The skills acquired have moved me to the next level in my career because I was promoted at my place of work after I finished the programme. The study notes were well composed and my lecturer was very accommodating. She has a way of making you interested in a particular topic if she discovers you are not clear enough. And one thing that is unique about CIAPS is that they are practical. They are not about class work only but they will expose you to what is obtainable in the labour market.

However, CIAPS is not just a study centre but a centre of self-discovery and a good place to acquire new skills.

I don’t have all the words to quantify or qualify my experience at CIAPS. It was really fascinating and worthwhile listening to lectures from seasoned and world-class teachers and facilitators like Prof Kila, Mr Rotimi, an erudite scholar and lecturer and a host of others. Training at CIAPS was great! The ambience and those that facilitated, everything were on point. I was wowed with the way I was lectured during my one-week training. I was exposed to some managerial skills a PA should possess to execute daily tasks.

It was great learning at CIAPS. This is the best experience I ever had in the course of my chosen career as a journalist. The learning environment was so conducive that I always felt like I didn’t want to leave, the friendly staff and lecturers, I will miss everyone and everything about CIAPS.

It was indeed a wonderful experience. The visit of the CEO of Western Post and so many others that came for the PPP sessions were wonderful.

The Mprivilege is another task I enjoyed and the teamwork with other professional students from Business management, project management, banking & finance and school management. I’m glad the project is now a reality.

CIAPS is an excellent professional institute with great facilities. It is located in a serene environment and all the classrooms are fully air-conditioned and always neat. Though it offers classes online, classroom lectures remain the best because you are able to interact with colleagues one-on-one.

On career guide, CIAPS helps in self-discovery. CIAPS engages its students in various projects during the course of their programmes and the students have the option of selecting projects they want be involved in.

These projects serve as an addition to your experience because you get to learn a lot about decision-making, creative thinking, brainstorming, etc. After the completion of my course, the Director encouraged me to keep writing while awaiting a job offer so that I get used to it. While writing, I discovered I am interested in the health aspect of writing.

I received excellent practical experience from Dr Kort and had a number of professionals give the journalism class practical experience. After CIAPS, The Director still mentors me in improving my career, bringing out the best in me, and attaining professionalism in my career. Presently I am working in a print media organization, a job gotten for me by CIAPS.

I had taught for a while before coming to CIAPS. Before then, I experienced a great deal of frustration when it came to handling the learning challenges of my students. We weren’t just connecting because I lacked the knowledge to deal with their difficulties. I had read some articles online but needed a proper guide and simulation that would enlarge my capacity and increase my confidence to deal with those issues.

The International Tutor Certificate course came to the rescue with a well-planned program, dedicated tutors and real-life examples drawn from best practices my “eureka” moment finally arrived.

It was a great experience that has seen me soar in confidence. Obvious to my employers I was given the privilege to head the college section just kicking off.
