My ďear Chief Adetola Adeniyi, You have been a great great Uncle and a mentor worthy of emulation. Anyone who has been close to you either professionally, politically, educationally or as intimate friend would know your worth. Yes, you are not perfect, which applies to every human being created by God, yet you are living a legacy expected of a leader, especially in that great country called Nigeria and in particular, the tribe you belong.
I am appreciating you not only as a related Aburo but indeed, to mention a few, my interactions and professional courage, boldness and knowledge emulated from you on the then Daily Times of Nigeria, at Kakawa Street, Lagos.
“I BOW AND TREMBLE SIR….MAY YOUR SHADOW NEVER SHOW LESS.” EMI YIN YIO SE OPOLOPO ODUN LA’IYE O…Amin.
    CONGRATULATIONS.!!!

Akogun Tola Adeniyi is one the best of the very few gentlemen this Country of ours parades. He is courageous and says things in a no-holds-barred manner with his fiery pen even before his column -“Till death do us part” and ever since.
With the ominous signs enveloping the sky of this Nature, by the palpable threat of the Fulanis, we need Irunmole Adeniyi more than ever since other people who are assumed to be of good conscience have either capitulated or subdued.

Best wishes for continual sound health, amazing grace and profound peace in-sha-Allah. Savour the joy of the day, and many happy returns.

I do not really know what to say about Akogun Tola Adeniyi. A man with so much influence and impact; and at the same time able to relate at any level. I still wonder how he finds it so easy and necessary to relate with people young enough to be his child and with so much love and respect for them. He is a father, a friend, a mentor and great source of inspiration to me. My family wishes you many more years of glory, favour, health, joy and influence. May you continue to impact this generation and fulfill your divine destiny in the name of Jesus. Congratulations on this glorious day.
