CIAPS Essay Price Longlist

CIAPS is delighted to announce the longlists for the 2016 Public Interest Essay Competition.

According to a statement on the Centre’s website ( “The essay competition was open for entries for about three months, and over 250 essays were submitted.

The CIAPS longlist selection team came up with a list of 60 entries”.

Confirming the news the CIAPS Centre Director, Prof Anthony Kila noted that participants in the competition though united by a clear passion for understanding the country’scurrent economic travails,varied both in terms of age, gender, location, background and quality of entries.

He further stated that content of the entries also ranged from brilliant, interesting, to dull and even annoying.

The 2016 CIAPS Public Interest Essay Competitionwill confer 1Million Naira to the 5 most successful essays.

These finalists will be announced on 28 February2017. The winners will be announced on April8.

      I don’t think so but according to the information supplied herein, over 250 submissions was received but the above 60 long-listed entries are pre-qualified entries.. . Hope you understand?
