Marie James, BA(Hons), PGCE, Cert TESOL (Trinity)

Marie is a trained Media Expert and Educationalist. After working in publishing for many years she retrained as a teacher.

She took her international qualification at St.George’s, London, and initially taught overseas students English as a Foreign Language. She then went on to take her PGCE and taught in a variety of schools and further education institutions in England, working as a Head of Department for English Literature and Communication Studies. Marie has taught English, Media and Communications to international pre-university students in Cambridge, designing and delivering her own courses. She is keen to relate her interests and research, especially in the areas of philosophy and psychology, to current teaching and learning.

Her other interests encompass art and literature, particularly the English and European movements of the Nineteenth Century.
