The CIAPS Professional Master in Business Administration (PMBA) is an intensive one year programme aimed at people interested in, or working in, a business environment.
Our ideal candidates will have plans and ambitions for setting up their own businesses, entering into partnerships or managing ongoing businesses. A lot of emphasis will be placed on startups and SMEs.
It is a hands-on, innovative and dynamic programme which focuses on the strategic elements of business conception and ethics, accountancy and finance, people and product management, growth and risk, organisational and legal management, sales and marketing, and international trade.
Graduates from the course will leave CIAPS with a very clear understanding of the essential features of various types of past and contemporary business organisations worldwide. During the programme each student will experience different areas of business roles and projects.
We have partnered with over twenty organisations, providing essential work placements for our students, ensuring each learner has various opportunities to combine the theoretical components of the classroom with the practical elements of the work place.
This programme will require travelling, and part of the programme will take place abroad; it is therefore advisable that candidates consider their willingness and ability to travel during the programme before enrolling.

Applicants for this course should have a first degree (Bachelors degree) or equivalent. Having a good grade is a major advantage. Applicants without such qualifications may apply, but their applications will be subject to a more complex process and they will be required to demonstrate their ability to successfully follow the programme. In all cases, applicants will be tested by CIAPS through written assessments and verbal interview. Applicants will be deemed successful only if they are judged to possess a good mix of:

Participants in this course will be required to combine practice in real workplace situations with learning in our Centre. CIAPS classes will take place as set out in the timetable, and attendance is an important part of the assessment. Each module will have a formative and summative assessment, and these assessments will be written or verbal and based on observations. Practical sessions will take place in the agreed organisations, and performance in these organisations will be evaluated based on written assessments, reports from the organisation and observation by CIAPS examiners.
As a fundamental part of learning, CIAPS offers its students the very best practices. We strongly encourage our students to participate in international programmes which will enable them to gain global experience by working and collaborating with their peers throughout the world. Part of this course will take place abroad, and students are advised to consider their ability to travel for a short period during their programme.
We place a lot of emphasis on research, both empirical and theoretical. Our faculty members are continuously engaged in research related to the subject they teach, and we encourage students to participate alongside them. We also strongly encourage our students to create their own research topics related to their area of work or interest. By the end of this course, a good student should have completed at least one publishable body of research
