At CIAPS, we are proud of our high standards. We are conscious of the fact that much is demanded from our students during their time with us. To support our participants we have put in place a formidable team of academic advisers, experienced librarians and other learning support staff to help students get the best from their academic pursuits.
We are proud of our welfare and career services; these services are provided by a team of competent and passionate professionals available to assist students with job placement, career guidance, CV preparation and registration with international bodies.
We have built, and continue to build, strong connections with reputable organisations which look for high standards and work with high achievers.
Participants in this course will be required to take part in teaching practice in schools and learning in our Centre. CIAPS classes will take place as set out in the timetable, and attendance is an important part of the assessment. Each module undertaken will have a formative and summative assessment. These assessments will be written, verbal and based on observations. Practical sessions will take place in the agreed organisations. Students performance in these organisations will be evaluated based on written assessments, reports from the organisation and observation by CIAPS examiners.
A fundamental part of learning at CIAPS is the exposure of our learners to the very best practices. We strongly encourage our students to participate in international programmes which will enable them to gain global experience by working and collaborating with their peers throughout the world. Part of this course will take place abroad, and students are highly advised to consider their ability to travel for a short period during the programme.
We place a lot of emphasis on research, both empirical and theoretical. Our faculty members are continuously engaged in research related to the subject they teach, and we encourage students to participate alongside them. We also strongly encourage our students to create their own research topics related to their area of work or interest. By the end of this course, a good student should have completed at least one publishable body of research.
